Renzenbrink & Partner advises the shareholders of leading 3D industrial metrology specialist GOM GmbH on the sale to Carl Zeiss AG (“ZEISS”) in the context of a structured international auction process.

Braunschweig based GOM GmbH was founded in 1990 and, together with its subsidiaries (“GOM”), develops, produces and distributes software, sensors and machines for industrial manual and automated 3D coordinate metrology and 3D testing. GOM targets at industries with most advanced quality demands such as automotive and aerospace, serving blue chip customers as a leading provider in each target industry. GOM has more than 6oo employees worldwide and generated a net turnover of over EUR 150m in the latest financial year.
ZEISS is an international player in the fields of optics and optoelectronics.
The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
