Renzenbrink & Partner advises SCHEMA Group on the acquisition of DOCWARE GmbH

Renzenbrink & Partner has advised SCHEMA TopCo GmbH, an IK portfolio company, on the acquisition of DOCWARE Gesellschaft für rechnergestützte Dokumentation, Konstruktion und Softwaretechnik mbH (DOCWARE) from its managing shareholders.

DOCWARE was founded in 1987 and, as of today, has approx. 65 employees at its Fürth headquarters (Bavaria, Germany). DOCWARE specialises in the development of software solutions for the management of service and spare parts information of industrial companies in all sectors. With PARTS-PUBLISHER, a modular spare parts catalogue software, DOCWARE holds a leading position in the market for electronic parts catalogues and digital service information systems.

SCHEMA Group, a portfolio company of funds advised by the IK Investment Partners Small Cap Fund II, is a leading provider of component content management system solutions and content delivery server software (SCHEMA ST4 and SCHEMA CDS).

For the add-on acquisition of DOCWARE, Renzenbrink & Partner has advised SCHEMA TopCo GmbH together with law firm KNPZ Rechtsanwälte (IP/IT) on all legal and tax aspects of the transaction. The team included Dr. Andreas Stoll, Dr. Niels Maier and Martin Aisenbrey (Corporate / M&A) as well as Marc H. Kotyrba (Tax). Renzenbrink & Partner advised IK in 2018 on the acquisition of SCHEMA Group and, in turn, SCHEMA Group in 2019 on the complete takeover of TID Informatik GmbH.
