Renzenbrink & Partner advises BME Group on the acquisition of HeiMö

Renzenbrink & Partner has advised BME Group (BME) in connection with the acquisition of HeiMö GmbH & Co. KG as well as HeiMö Verwaltungs-GmbH.

HeiMö (specialized wholesale for heating & plumbing) operates two branches with showrooms in Wittenberg and Dessau, located south-west of Berlin (Saxony Anhalt).
HeiMö was founded in 1990 and employs a total of 42 people. The company is owned by a group of five shareholders, among them CEO Christian Töpfer who will continue to lead the business and will support the integration.

BME is one of Europe’s leading building material distribution companies and active in the distribution of building materials in Germany under the brands BAUKING, Mahler, and Gebhardt (General Building Materials) as well as SHK (Sanitary, Heating & Plumbing Materials). SHK is headquartered in Kiel and operates a network of 125 branches and 30 showrooms under the well established brands SHK | Paulsen, SHK | Bergmann & Franz, and SHK | Detering. SHK employs currently over 1,700 employees. The acquisition expands BME’s footprint into central-eastern Germany.

Renzenbrink & Partner advises BME Group with a team consisting of Dr Andreas Stoll, (Corporate), Moritz Rojek (Corporate), Malte Pulmer (Corporate) as well as Marc Holger Kotyrba (Tax) and Marie Eikmeier (Tax) in connection with all legal aspects of the acquisition of HeiMö.
