Renzenbrink & Partner advised Acture on the acquisition of move UP Gesellschaft für Gesundheitsmanagement mbH.

move UP Gesellschaft für Gesundheitsmanagement mbH (“move UP”) headquartered in Hamburg is an innovative provider of holistic corporate health management solutions. Established in 2016 with branches also in Berlin and Munich, the company specializes in crafting comprehensive solutions to promote employee health within businesses. move UP designs and implements holistic and creative health solutions tailored to over 250 clients (German statutory health insurances and company clients).

Acture was founded in the Netherlands in 2008 among others by CEO Maudie Derks and has been a portfolio company of the IK SC II fund advised by IK Partners since 2020. Acture is a leading provider of private execution of social security for Dutch employers. With 120,000 sickness reports per year for more than 6,200 employers, Acture is responsible for executing over US$27 billion in wages, approximately 10% of the total wage bill in the Netherlands.

Acture pursues a total welfare management strategy and continues to expand its reach and influence in key segments in the Netherlands and throughout Europe. After having acquired Berlin-based Evermood in Summer 2023, move UP is the second acquisition of Acture in Germany. Renzenbrink & Partner comprehensively advised Acture on legal and tax matters as well as the reinvestments of the respective founding sellers in Acture. For the reinvestment as part of the acquisition of move UP, Acture retained local legal advice by Houthoff.
