Renzenbrink & Partner advises opseo on the acquisition of A.I.H. – Ambulante Intensivpflege Holding GmbH and other intensive care services

April 2022The opseo Group, one of Germany’s largest providers of out-of-hospital intensive care for adults and children, has acquired A.I.H. – Ambulante Intensivpflege Holding GmbH, based in Auerbach. The transaction has already received regulatory approval and been completed. With its subsidiaries A.I.B. Wohngruppen GmbH, Hero GmbH, Agapeo GmbH and Curademic GmbH, A.I.H. – Ambulante Intensivpflege Holding GmbH is one of the leading providers of intensive care in Bavaria with a focus on residential groups for adults and the care of children requiring intensive care. The A.I.H. Group currently cares for a total of around 200 patients with over 1,000 employees and operates around 25 residential communities.
In addition to the acquisition of the A.I.H. Group, opseo has also acquired the Hamburg-based “Balu Kinderintensivpflegedienst” in recent months, which has developed into the most efficient intensive care service for children in northern Germany since it was founded in 2013 and currently has almost 120 employees. With the Bielefeld-based company Aercura, opseo has also acquired a quality market leader in intensive care in the East Westphalia region. GtIB “Gesundheitsteam für Intensivpflege und Beatmung” GmbH, based in Itzehoe, also recently became part of the opseo Group.
The transactions underpin the opseo Group’s growth trajectory as one of the largest providers of out-of-hospital intensive care in Germany.
