Renzenbrink & Partner advises IK Partners on the acquisition of DRIESCHER

Renzenbrink & Partner advised the IK X Fund (MidCap) on the acquisition of the family-owned company Driescher GmbH.

DRIESCHER was founded over 85 years ago and is a leading German manufacturer of medium and low-voltage switches and switchgear. The Group offers a comprehensive portfolio of products and services that are necessary for the expansion of energy grids and the modernization of existing infrastructure.

IK acquires its stake in DRIESCHER from the family shareholders, all of whom will reinvest in the Group. As part of the transaction, the co-founders and co-owners of the Czech subsidiary, DRIBO spol. s r.o., reinvest their shares in the Group. The parties have agreed not to disclose the financial terms of the transaction.

With the support of IK, DRIESCHER plans to further expand its core business with existing and new customers, supported by continuous product innovation. The Group is also planning expansion in Germany and further internationalization as well as the expansion of the after-sales business, possibly also through complementary additional acquisitions.

Completion of the transaction is subject to approval by the competition authorities in Germany and Austria.
