Renzenbrink & Partner advises E.GRUPPE on the acquisition of Control Mechatronics

Renzenbrink & Partner advised E.GRUPPE GmbH (“E.GRUPPE”), a portfolio company of Gimv, on the acquisition of Control Mechatronics GmbH (including subsidiaries, the “CTMT Group”).

The CTMT Group, with over 100 employees, is a medium-sized service and manufacturing company active in the field of industrial electrical measurement and control technology (E&C). The CTMT Group also offers project planning and management for the automation of industrial processes.

The E.GRUPPE, consisting of Klotter Elektrotechnik GmbH (“Klotter”) and the CTMT Group, now has around 170 employees and is aiming to become a full-service provider in the field of electrical engineering in order to offer customers a comprehensive and future-oriented portfolio of solutions from a single source. In addition to its existing business in customer-specific transformer station construction, control cabinet and distribution board construction and building technology, the acquisition of the CTMT Group will strengthen the E.GRUPPE’s automation solutions for industrial processes, such as those used in nuclear power plants or for the production of control units in the medical field of proton therapy.

The Renzenbrink & Partner team consisted of partner Dr. Niels Maier and associates Dr. Alexander Haunschild and Eike Rabenberg (all corporate/private equity).

A team led by Dr. Niels Maier had already advised Gimv on the acquisition of Klotter.
