Renzenbrink & Partner advised a group of Hamburg-based private investors on the capital increase of Kreditech alongside HPE Growth and Runa Capital

Kreditech is a German FinTech company headquartered in Hamburg, which specializes in online lending. The company currently employs more than 300 people in seven countries and develops regional competence and technology centres in Poland, Romania and Thailand.

Kreditech grants loans to customers in India, Poland, Russia and Spain. The company is known primarily for its use of an end-to-end fully automated underwriting process that combines alternative data sources with machine learning. The company focused on scaling its near to prime lending business and increasing profitability. With well-established and growing offices in Poland, Spain and Russia, Kreditech will focus in the short term on rapidly scaling its business in India.

HPE Growth and Runa Capital were leading this financing round. In total, HPE Growth, Runa Capital, the Hamburg private investors and existing shareholders have invested EUR 20 million in Kreditech in this financing round.
