Renzenbrink & Partner advises E.GRUPPE on the acquisition of Control Mechatronics

Renzenbrink & Partner advised E.GRUPPE GmbH (“E.GRUPPE”), a portfolio company of Gimv, on the acquisition of Control Mechatronics GmbH (together with its subsidiaries “CTMT Group”).

CTMT Group, with over 100 employees, is a medium-sized German service and manufacturing company active in the field of industrial electrical instrumentation and control (I&C). CTMT Group also offers project planning and execution for the automation of industrial processes.

With Klotter Elektrotechnik GmbH (“Klotter”) and CTMT Groupand a combined workforce of approx. 170 employees, E.GRUPPE aims to establish a full-range service provider in all trades of electrical engineering in order to offer its customers a one-stop integrated and future-oriented portfolio of solutions. In addition to its existing business in the areas of customer-specific transformer station construction, switchgear cabinet anddistribution board construction, and building services engineering, E.Gruppe is particularly strengthening by the acquisition of CTMT Group its business in automation solutions for industrial processes used inter alia for nuclear power plants or for the production of control units in the medical field of proton therapy.

The team of Renzenbrink & Partner consisted of partner Dr. Niels Maier as well as associates Dr. Alexander Haunschild and Eike Rabenberg (all Corporate/Private Equity).

A team led by Dr. Niels Maier also advised Gimv on the initial acquisition of Klotter.
