Renzenbrink & Partner advises on the sale of a majority stake in H. Anger’s Söhne Bohr- und Brunnenbaugesellschaft mbH

Herrenknecht AG has acquired a majority shareholding in H. Anger’s Söhne Bohr- und Brunnenbaugesellschaft mbH (“HAS”). Renzenbrink & Partner advised the majority shareholder, Mr. Waldemar Müller-Ruhe, comprehensively on the sale.

HAS was founded in 1863 and has developed into one of the leading companies in the German drilling industry. The company employs around 150 people and specializes in geothermal drilling to depths of up to 7,000 meters. In addition to geothermal energy, the company also carries out reservoir and underground exploration projects. Well construction for drinking, mineral and thermal water is also part of the company’s range of services.

Herrenknecht AG is the global market leader for heavy-duty tunnel boring machines. With around 5,500 employees and 82 subsidiaries worldwide, the company generated annual sales of more than EUR 1.1 billion in 2022. The company was founded in 1975 by CEO Dr. Martin Herrenknecht.
