Renzenbrink & Partner advises Bruker Corporation on the acquisition of Alicona Imaging from Quadriga Capital

Renzenbrink & Partner has advised Bruker Corporation on the acquisition of 100% of the shares in Alicona Imaging GmbH, a leading provider of optical measurement products based in Graz, Austria. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. The closing of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.

With sales of almost USD 2 billion and more than 6,000 employees worldwide, the NASDAQ-listed Bruker Corporation is a global manufacturer of high-end analytical instruments used in the fields of science & research, pharmaceutical/biotechnology, clinical diagnostics and industry. The company operates in the Life Science Tools & Diagnostics segment and has built a reputation for innovation and quality.

Alicona is currently majority-owned by funds advised by Quadriga Capital and is a global provider of optical 3D surface measurement technology for quality assurance in laboratories and production. Its core competence lies in products for measuring the shape and roughness of even complex, miniaturized geometries. In the last three years, the product portfolio has expanded significantly and the number of employees has almost doubled to over 150. Alicona’s optical 3D measurement products complement Bruker’s microCT, Stylus Profiler, white light interferometry and atomic force microscope (AFM) product suite.
