Renzenbrink & Partner ADVISES STRABAG ON THE ACQUISITION OF STUMPP GROUP

Renzenbrink & Partner advised STRABAG on the acquisition of Stumpp Group.

Gebr. Stumpp GmbH & Co. KG, based in Balingen in southwestern Germany, is set to become part of STRABAG AG, Cologne. The move strengthens STRABAG’s regional presence between the Black Forest and Lake Constance and expands its capacities in the growing market for infrastructure projects. The Stumpp Group recently generated an annual revenue of around EUR 90 million with a workforce of nearly 300 employees.

The Stumpp Group specialises in road construction and civil engineering, including earthworks as well as sewer and pipeline construction. The company also operates asphalt mixing plants and holds investments in gravel works. STRABAG is thereby securing long-term access to essential raw materials for future infrastructure projects in the region.

STRABAG is a European-based technology group for construction services. STRABAG’s activities span all areas of the construction industry and cover the entire construction value chain. Approximately 86,000 employees generate an annual output volume of around EUR 19 billion.

Renzenbrink & Partner has advised comprehensively on the transaction documents and tax aspects of the acquisition as well as concluded the tax due diligence. The closing of the transaction is subject to approval by the relevant authorities.
