Renzenbrink & Partner advises LEO II Fund on the financing of the acquisition of Vitesco Technologies Emitec GmbH

Renzenbrink & Partner supports the investment fund Lenbach Equity Opportunities II GmbH & Co KG (“LEO II Fonds”), which is exclusively advised by DUBAG Group, in the financing of the acquisition of Vitesco Technologies Emitec GmbH, the catalyst and particulate filter business of Vitesco Technologies. The company is being sold by the listed Vitesco Technologies Group AG, a spin-off of Continental AG.

Emitec is a global market leader in the development and production of metallic substrates for catalytic converters and metallic diesel particulate filters for vehicles. As part of the transaction, the current management team, all employees and all company locations will be taken over. The aim of the transaction is to better position Emitec as an independent company worldwide as a key partner for clean, electrified combustion and also to strengthen its activities in the non-automotive sector.

The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2023 and is subject to regulatory approvals.

The Munich-based DUBAG Group specializes in advising and managing private equity funds with a focus on the acquisition of companies in special situations and complex carve-outs. With the use of financial and professional resources, they create new, independent companies and pay attention to continuous further development and sustainable growth. This expertise of DUBAG and the LEO II Fund is once again demonstrated in this transaction.

The Renzenbrink & Partner team, led by partners Dr. Bernd Egbers and Isabell Hitzer, consisted of senior associate Philipp Hogrefe, associate Benedikt Ruck and transaction analyst Zacharias Woltering-Schlenker (all Finance/Munich).
