Renzenbrink & Partner advises Crosslantic on investment in Sonnenwelt and Xando Energy

Crosslantic Capital, an independent growth equity investor focused on fast-growing technology companies, is investing a double-digit million amount in solar specialists Sonnenwelt GmbH, based in Langenfeld, Germany, and Xando Energy Services LLC, based in Fort Myers, Florida. Renzenbrink & Partner provided comprehensive legal advice to Crosslantic Capital in connection with both investments.

Sonnenwelt GmbH and its sister company Xando Energy Services LLC are active in the sale and installation of photovoltaic systems and energy storage systems for private customers and small and medium-sized enterprises. Since their foundation, Sonnenwelt and Xando, which are managed by industry experts with many years of experience, have planned and realized more than 2,000 solar systems with a total capacity of over 20 MWp. This is also reflected in the growth of both companies to date: In 2020, Xando was honored with the “Panasonic Fastest Growing Installer of the Year Award” and, like Sonnenwelt, has since recorded annual sales growth of between 70% and 120%. In addition, the renowned US solar data platform “Ohm Analytics” has named Xando as one of the fastest growing solar companies in the USA.

The Renzenbrink & Partner team consisted of partner Dr. Andreas Stoll (Corporate/Private Equity) and associates Eike Rabenberg and Malte Pulmer (both Corporate/Private Equity).

The integrated advice on US law issues was provided by the law firm Barnes & Thornburg, Chicago (Timo Rehbock and team).
