As a start-up in the e-commerce business, The Stryze Group intends to grow rapidly by pursuing a buy, build and level-up strategy, whereby it acquires e-commerce companies and brings them together under one roof. ManuCo GmbH, a major e-commerce player originally founded by Sebastian Funke, one of the founders of The Stryze Group, forms the basis for The Stryze Group’s growth.
The start-up is backed by Carsten Maschmeyer’s Alstin Capital, Upper90 (a leading alternative credit manager based in New York City) and a German institutional investor as investors. The latter two also provided the debt financing for the intended acquisitions.
The Renzenbrink & Partner team was led by Dr. Bernd Egbers (Partner) and comprised Philipp Hogrefe (Senior Associate) and Fei Li (Transaction Lawyer) (all Finance, Munich) as well as Marc H. Kotyrba (Partner, Tax, Hamburg).
