Renzenbrink & Partner has advised the Rehacon Group, a portfolio company of Waterland, on the acquisition of the physiotherapy service provider Anita Brüche. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the economic parameters of the transaction, which is expected to be completed at the end of May.

Rehacon GmbH, based in Gelsenkirchen and part of the Rehacon Group, is one of the largest providers in the European physiotherapy market with over 150 therapy centers nationwide. The first therapy center of the Reeder Group was founded in 1992, employs more than 600 people and most recently generated an annual turnover of around EUR 36 million.

With around 50 employees, Therapiezentrum Anita Brüche is one of the largest providers of physiotherapy services in Hamburg, specializing in physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. The acquisition strengthens Rehacon’s regional presence in Hamburg and expands its service portfolio, for example with home visits to patients. Rehacon aims to grow in the future by integrating further therapy centers, thereby expanding its position in the highly fragmented market for physiotherapy.

Renzenbrink & Partner advised the Rehacon Group on all legal aspects of the transaction. The team consisted of Dr. Ulf Renzenbrink and Pablo Albrecht (both Corporate/ M&A).
