Renzenbrink & Partner advised the former shareholders of LANCOM on the complete takeover by Rohde & Schwarz

The shareholders of LANCOM Holding GmbH had already reached an agreement with the Rohde & Schwarz Group on a stake in LANCOM Holding GmbH in the fall of 2016. The technology group has now also acquired the remaining shares in the German network infrastructure manufacturer. LANCOM Systems will operate as an independent subsidiary within the Group with immediate effect. Founder Ralf Koenzen and Co-Managing Director Stefan Herrlich will continue to manage LANCOM’s business and take on additional responsibilities within the Group.

LANCOM Holding GmbH is the sole shareholder of LANCOM Systems GmbH, the leading German manufacturer of network solutions for business customers and the public sector. The Group is headquartered in Würselen near Aachen and its customers include small and medium-sized enterprises, public authorities, institutions and large corporations, both nationally and internationally. In 2015, LANCOM was honored with the renowned Deloitte “Sustained Excellence Award” for long-term growth and sustainable entrepreneurial spirit.

The Munich-based electronics group Rohde & Schwarz specializes in solutions in the fields of measurement technology, broadcasting and media technology, cyber security, secure communication, radio monitoring and radiolocation technology and is one of the world’s leading providers in these areas. The Group has around 9,900 employees and generated sales of around 1.83 billion euros in the 2014/2015 financial year (July to June).
