Renzenbrink & Partner advises Waterland portfolio company Rehacon on the acquisition of physiotherapy provider Anita Brüche

7 April 2019

Renzenbrink & Partner has advised Rehacon Group, a Waterland portfolio
company, on the acquisition of physiotherapy provider Anita Brüche. Both sides
have agreed to keep the commercial terms of the transaction confidential. The
acquisition is expected to be completed by the end of May 2019.

Rehacon Group has its headquarters located in Gelsenkirchen. The group
comprises more than 150 therapy centers across Germany and is one of the largest
providers in Europe in the field of physiotherapy. Rehacon Group’s first therapy
center was established in 1992 and has since expanded to include over 600
employees. Last year the group generated an annual turnover of approx. EUR 36
million.

The Anita Brüche Therapy Center, which has 50 employees, is one of the largest
providers of physiotherapy services in Hamburg. It is particularly known for its
high degree of specialization in the fields of physiotherapy, occupational therapy
and speech therapy. With this acquisition, Rehacon reinforces its regional
presence in Hamburg and expands its services portfolio to include features such
as home visits for patients. Going forward, Rehacon intends further growth
through the integration of additional therapy centers in order to strengthen its
position in the fragmented physiotherapy market.

Renzenbrink & Partner advised Rehacon Group on all legal aspects of the
transaction. The team included Dr Ulf Renzenbrink and Pablo Albrecht (both
Corporate/M&A).
