Renzenbrink & Partner advises Plastiflex Group on the acquisition of Walter Potthoff GmbH

Renzenbrink & Partner has advised Plastiflex Group N.V. (together with its subsidiaries “Plastiflex Group”), a Belgian portfolio company of the IK SC III fund advised by IK Partners on the acquisition of Walter Potthoff GmbH.

Walter Potthoff GmbH based in Kierspe near Wuppertal, is a German manufacturer of high-end plastic components and systems with a strong focus on healthcare injection moulding.

Plastiflex Group, headquartered in Beringen, Belgium, is a world leader in the production of extruded spiral tubing and hose systems for medical and industrial applications. Established in 1953, Plastiflex Group today employes over 1,000 employees at its seven production sites and subsidiares. Since its foundation, Plastiflex Group has become the world’s leading supplier of customised hose systems for customers in the medical and industrial technology sectors.

With Walter Potthoff GmbH, Plastiflex Group will have eight manufacturing facilities across the world with clean room manufacturing capacity across North America, Europe and Asia. The manufacturing facility in Kierspe will become the European healthcare manufacturing hub for Plastiflex Group and will also be the global centre of excellence for injection moulding.

Renzenbrink & Partner advised Plastiflex Group on all corporate-law aspects of the acquisition of Walter Potthoff GmbH including a reinvestment with a team led by partner Dr. Niels Maier (Corporate/Private Equity).
